UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd (UMWT) continues its strong performance, achieving a total monthly sale of 8,500 units in August 2024. This performance brings the total year-to-date sales as of August 2024 to approximately 64,000 units. The top three best-selling models for August 2024 were Toyota Vios, Toyota Hilux and Toyota Corolla Cross, reflecting the steady growing demand for Toyota vehicles in Malaysia across the sedan, pick-up and SUV categories.
Building on this momentum, UMWT has officially opened order-taking on 16 August 2024 for the enhanced 2024 models of the Toyota Hilux, Fortuner, and GR86. The Hilux, renowned for its reliability, now includes Vehicle Stability Control in the 2.4 Single Cab and features like Remote Engine Start and Panoramic View Monitor in select variants. The Fortuner, embodying rugged versatility, introduces a GR Body Kit Package and Remote Engine Start on higher trims. Meanwhile, the GR86, Toyota’s dynamic coupe, now offers sharper handling, enhanced throttle response, refined suspension tuning, and comes equipped with a front and rear Digital Video Recorder (DVR), delivering an exhilarating driving experience for enthusiasts.
